A good florist name says flowers at a glance and is easy to say over the phone: your own name for a local shop, a pun for a stall, or a French word for a premium studio. Opening a florist, a flower stall or a wedding flower studio? This flower shop name generator has florist business names in eight styles, from puns to French, ready to check before you paint the sign.
Eight good flower shop names
All eight came from the generator:
- Stem Cellar: a clever pun for a basement or market stall.
- Seas the Daisy Flower Co.: cheerful and seaside.
- Clover & Stem: cute and gentle.
- Second Chance Flowers: funny, and you know exactly who's buying.
- Ingram & Bramhall Florists: a classic name that sounds like an established family firm.
- Studio Bough: modern and short.
- Atelier Muguet: French for a workshop of lily of the valley.
- Poppies by Sarah: your name with a favourite flower.
How florists name themselves
- Your own name builds trust for weddings and funerals, where people want to know who they're dealing with.
- A flower in the name tells people what you do: Peony, Posy, Larkspur, Clover.
- French suggests premium floristry: fleur is flower, pivoine peony, muguet lily of the valley and lilas lilac.
- The Victorians gave flowers meanings, known as floriography or the language of flowers, so a name can carry a message: forget-me-nots for remembrance, for example.
Check it's free before you print the sign
Before you pay for a logo, labels or a stall banner, press Check on the name you like, or paste it into the Business Name Checker. It looks for:
- Company names: in the UK, Companies House won't register a limited company name that's the same as one already on the register. In the US, check your state's business register.
- Trade marks: search the UK Intellectual Property Office and, if you sell abroad, the USPTO. A registered company name doesn't give you trade mark rights.
- Web and social: the .com or .co.uk, plus the Instagram, TikTok and Etsy handles florist customers will look for.
Many flower orders come through relay networks and online directories, so also check your name isn't close to one of the big flower brands customers might confuse you with.

Tips for a florist
- Say it on the phone. If you have to spell it every time, simplify it.
- Think about weddings. A pun can feel too light for wedding and funeral flowers; a name or a French word suits them better.
- Make it work on a van and a ribbon, where it'll be seen most.
