A good nail salon name is short, fun and looks good on Instagram, whether you run a nail bar, a home studio or a mobile service. The Nail Salon Name Generator suggests names for a nail salon, nail bar, mobile nail tech or press-on brand. Pick catchy and witty, cute, modern, luxury or aesthetic, or make a nail business name with your name or your town.
Eight good nail salon names
All eight came from the generator:
- Gel & Gloss: two nail words that sound good together.
- The Final Coat: a witty name from the last step of a manicure.
- Buff & Shine: does exactly what it says.
- Bubblegum Nail Studio: cute and colourful.
- Lacquer: one sleek word for a modern nail bar.
- The Digit Room: modern and a little witty.
- Maison Vernis: luxury French: vernis means varnish, the French word for nail polish.
- Hampton Pedicure Bar: your town plus a speciality.
How nail salon names work
- Nail words are made for names: gel, gloss, polish, lacquer, tips, buff, file and coat. Manicure comes from the Latin manus (hand) and pedicure from pes (foot).
- "Nail bar" suggests walk-in, quick appointments; studio and atelier suggest booked, detailed nail art.
- Mobile techs and press-on brands often use their own name, because clients follow the artist.
Check it's free before you print the sign
A name from a generator is a starting point, not permission to use it. Before you order the sign, the boxes or the van livery:
- Company register. In the UK, search Companies House; you can't register a limited company with the same name as an existing one. In the US, search your state's business register.
- Trade marks. Search the UK trade mark register (or the USPTO in the US) for the goods and services you'll sell.
- Domain and handles. Check the .co.uk or .com and the Instagram and TikTok handles you'll need.
- Your area. Search a map app for businesses with the same or a similar name nearby.
Press Check on any name, or use the Business Name Checker, to run most of these at once. For the full process, read our guide, Business Naming Best Practices. This is general guidance, not legal advice.
Making the name work
- Check the handle. Nail art sells on Instagram and TikTok, so the handle matters as much as the sign.
- Leave room for toes. If you'll offer pedicures, a name that only mentions hands can feel limiting.
