Good yoga studio names feel calm, are easy to say, and tell people whether you teach yoga, Pilates or both. The Yoga Studio Name Generator suggests names for a yoga studio, Pilates or reformer studio, or a yoga teacher's classes: catchy, cute, classic, modern, aesthetic, Sanskrit words with meaning, your town or your own name.
Eight good yoga studio names
All eight came from the generator, for yoga and Pilates:
- Slow Flow Yoga: catchy and says what the class feels like.
- Off the Mat Yoga & Pilates: a phrase yoga teachers already use.
- Spring Loaded Pilates: a pun on the reformer's springs.
- The Hayloft Yoga Studio: a classic name from the room itself.
- Studio Reform: modern and minimal, for reformer Pilates.
- Fig & Clay Yoga Co.: an aesthetic name in warm colours.
- Drishti Yoga House: Sanskrit for a focused gaze.
- Karuna Pilates Studio: Sanskrit for compassion.
How yoga and Pilates names work
- Sanskrit words carry meaning, and a shala is a yoga school or house: Chandra Yoga Shala. Pick words you can explain, and use them respectfully.
- Pilates is named after Joseph Pilates, who developed the method and the reformer machine. Reformer names often play on springs, cores and control: To the Core Reformer Studio.
- Aesthetic names use calm colours and natural materials: Studio Birch, Terracotta Yoga.
- Classic names use a street or a building: Church Street Yoga House.

Check it's free before you print the sign
Press Check on any name, or paste one into the Business Name Checker, to see whether the domain and social handles are free and to jump to the company register and trade mark searches. Then:
- Search the company register. In the UK that's Companies House; in the US, your state's business register.
- Search trade marks with the UK Intellectual Property Office or the USPTO, especially if you'll sell products or open more than one site.
- Look locally. Search Google Maps for yoga studios near you: a similar name a few streets away will confuse customers even if it's legally fine.

Names for teachers without a studio
If you teach in village halls, gyms or online, your own name or a class name is often better than a studio name: it travels with you. For the gym down the road, try the Gym Name Generator; for treatments, the Massage Business Name Generator and Spa Name Generator.
